Where the Conversations Happen
The Little Dog and the Piper
In the Highland Ross logo, you’ll see a lone bagpiper on the trail — and a small dog keeping pace at his side.
The bagpiper is my client — the leader of a singular journey, playing the tune only a true piper can play. That melody carries a vision, a body of work, a life’s purpose. It’s not my song to play — it belongs to the piper, to carry into the hills and across the valleys.

The dog is me — steady, loyal, and tuned to the piper’s rhythm. I’ve walked this trail before, so I carry the maps, the weather reports, and a few good stories. I notice the bends in the path and the markers others might miss.
I’m not out front — this isn’t my parade — but I am close enough to warn of loose stones or point out a shortcut through the bracken. I’m here to protect the pace, keep spirits high, and help ensure the piper reaches the next ridge with energy left to play.
In this work, the music matters — but so does the way you travel while you play it.
Why the Cabin
Highland Ross is my quiet place to think out loud about leadership, teaching, and the craft of clear communication. It’s not a stage or a showroom — it’s a cabin in the woods, a warm place to pause, take stock, and see the path ahead more clearly.
I believe that when leaders get better, everything around them gets better too. Stronger teams, healthier families, more vibrant communities — all of it begins with the person at the helm finding clarity, courage, and the next right step.
A Little Bit About Me
I’ve spent my life helping people find clarity — in their work, their words, and their leadership. I’ve trained teams in boardrooms, guided students in classrooms, and coached leaders who were ready to trade noise for focus. My work draws from sharp, time-tested frameworks but it’s carried in a warm, human voice.
I’m not a “shout louder” coach. I’m a “walk with you” guide. I believe the best results come from steady progress, not frantic sprints, and that clear thinking beats clever slogans every time. My style is part trail map, part campfire — a balance of practical tools and the kind of conversations that linger long after the day’s work is done.
Away from the work, I’m anchored by family, fascinated by how people learn, and happiest with a good book by a fire or a long walk in the quiet. I carry the same belief into every space I work in: when leaders get better, everything around them gets better too.

If You’re Thinking About Your Own Path
You’re welcome here. Wander the pages, read a story, borrow a tool or two. And if the trail you’re on feels tangled, and you’d like someone to walk it with you, the porch light’s on — the door’s open. Come on in.
